Well, it’s officially official! JaMychal Green has joined the Golden State Warriors and will be on the roster for the upcoming season. I’ve been hearing a lot about him potentially signing as a free agent, but I hadn’t heard anything concrete. For those of you who don’t know, JaMychal played for the Denver Nuggets last season and was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder this summer. He negotiated a buyout so he could become a free agent and try and find a better fit.

This is a GREAT pickup for the Warriors and definitely fills a gap that was created when Otto Porter Jr. moved on to the Toronto Raptors. He’s a big, athletic body that comes with a 7′ 2″ wingspan. He’s a throwback blue collar type of player. He’s a stretch 4 that can rebound, defend, and add some grit and physicality to the second unit. I have no doubt he’ll be able to give us some great minutes at the 5 too.
