Oak Leaf is a budget friendly wine distributed exclusively at Walmart. Naturally, that raises eyebrows with wine snobs, but that doesn’t mean Oak Leaf is low quality. I’ve never had any wineaches with any bottle of Oak Leaf, and some of them are superb. Oak Leaf’s Red Blend is no exception, and is the best of both worlds. Balancing dryer, more sophisticated reds with sweet, the wine is “medium-bodied and sweet with aromas of ripe raspberries, juicy blackberries, and a smooth finish.” It’s akin to a sangria without the fruit juice whilst still packing a bit more of a punch.
